Inquiry

WALA: the Waitangi Wetlands. In our Inquiry groups we had to research an animal, plant or insect. We had to find out if the Waitangi Wetlands is a good place for it to live and grow. 

We also had to create a way of showing our learning. Here is a video of how we presented our findings.

WALT: write narrative stories. In a narrative story we have been learning to add detail to our character, create a picture of the setting and the character in the reader's mind and give detail of what happens in the beginning, middle and end.

Handwriting.

I am learning to do cursive letters so that when I begin linking my letters, they will join nicely and neatly together. 

Next Step: to correctly link letters.

In Reading we are learning to find information in a text and reorganise it. Here is an example: my poster advertising for a new sniffer dog. Something I did well was the work sheets. Something I need to work on is figuring out where they will find sniffer dogs.
